We're about to start a fairly significant remodel of the 2nd and 3rd floors of our 1880 Victorian home. As part of this project, we'll be adding a master bath, but we're struggling with the design.

We're not into what I'd call "true Victorian" (i.e. lots frills, flowers, detail), but we still want to be consistent with the feel of the home. The room will be very small - about 6' x 11.5'. I've attached some SketchUp images to give you a feel. There is a standup shower at the far end - the room is 6 feet wide at that point. On the right side of the room (looking in from the door) is a placeholder for a vanity (it's 60" long, and we're planning on double sinks). In the niche on the left, we were thinking of some pieces of furniture (dresser-like), rather than doing built-ins.

The rest of the house is fairly colorful, paintwise - mostly warm earth tones - deep yellows, greens, and browns. The trim is all painted off-white. The adjacent bedroom may end up being something like () though with less modern furniture. We're also debating doing something a little bluer, though, like perhaps Valspar 5007-8A Twilight Meadow.
