I like both of your suggestions. I was leaning toward a bright lime green. Do you think it would be to much with the turqouise couch?

Yes, I think it would be too bright. That's why I picked a softer version, which will still have energy (and look fresh) but not at the same level as all the primary colours of the toys you'll have in this room. I know grey is hugely popular at the moment, but I don't think that means that every room has to be grey, and I really don't think I'd choose a grey for a children's area.

what about yellow?

I see why you'd say yellow because they complement each other, but in a child's playroom there are many different objects of primary colours and the whole effect is going to be pretty chaotic if there's no harmony anywhere. For that reason I chose a soft fresh green that will tone with the turquoise and create a background that's a bit calmer with all the accent colours.

I hope you and the child (children?) really like the room. :)
