I have been looking into caper plants and can't seem to find any starts in the U.S. They only seem to come in seed and I have read that the seeds are hard to get to germinate. The only place that I could find that has them as starts is in Australia, but they don't ship to the U.S. Does anyone know of somewhere that has them?

I've grown them from seeds a couple of times. I didn't have any trouble getting them to germinate. The plants will start to bloom the second season. In my climate, I have to overwinter indoors in a cool, bright location. I wouldn't hesitate to give them a try from seed if I were you.

Richters.com has caper plants, although they are out of Canada, BC, I think.

Lake Valley has seeds if you can't find plants. Also GrowItalian.com has seeds. I am growing from seed for the first time. Wish you luck in finding plants.
