Your photo looks like you have the culitvar by the name of 'Apple Blossom'. That seems to produce some very mixed results with efforts to pollinate it. Some people have had no success, but many others, myself included, have.

A couple of things to know - the pollen is short lived, and if it isn't properly frozen, it's not viable beyond a day or so; and any seedlings that are the result of a successful pollination may or may not look anything like the parent.

My bulb was self-fertile - I pollinated the flowers on the stalk with pollen from the same bulb. Other bulbs appear not to be self fertile. You can try yours and see what happens.

The seedlings can take three to four years to bloom, and that is with constant fertilizing and lots of direct sun outside in the summer. It's much easier to multiply it by fertilizing it well and separating the offsets that should grow from the base of the mother bulb (bulbs also appear to be quite variable in the number of offsets they produce - some produce lots, some produce none). You may just want to buy other bulbs if you want more - 'Apple Blossom' is one of the most commonly available ones and is easy to find or mail order (I can buy them locally for $7 each - if you're not near a big city it'll probably be about twice that).
