Banana seeds take a long time to germinate. Plant your seeds in dark container with a close fitting lid. Put in a warm place and wait for at least 6 months. Occasionally check to make sure your planting medium is moist (not wet). Use a weak chamomile (sp?) tea to moisten medium as it seems to help keep fungi at bay.

True that Banana seeds take some time to germinate like grungy said. I agree with grungy and learned a new one with the chamomile tea. I soak the seeds in hydrogen peroxide for about 15 seconds and this helps with damp off also. Good luck.
