I depend on the modern miracle of Ziploc bags LOL! Seriously, though, you can stuff plants in there, pour out the excess water, squeeze out the excess air and zip it up. I then put everything into a big plastic bag inside a Priority Mail box (with maybe a little crumpled newspaper for cushioning) and send it off. Everything seems to do fine in transit without the expense of overnight shipping. I'm packing water lettuce and duckweed now to go into tomorrow's mail. The little snack size bags are great for duckweed. Good luck!

Linda, I wash all of the soil from the plant and send it bare root by wrapping it in wet paper towels, and then putting the wrapped plant in a plastic bag. I then put packing around the plant to protect it and send it by Priority mail. I do this with floaters, oxygenators, marginals, lilies and lotus. Works with all of them. I will be shipping many boxes this way tomorrow.
