That is actually what took me so long to get my order together. I had to plan out were these lilies were going before ordering. There is just not the room left here to order without any plan in mind. Not that it always stops me from doing so.

I can't WAIT to see these blooming in your garden. I went to The Lily Garden website because I wasn't sure what type of lilys you bought. Wonderful! The veterinarian across the road has some of these (not sure of the variety)and they make such a statement in his garden every year. Magical.

Those impulse buys always get me LOL!

I have had asiatic lilies here for at least 12 years and orientals for the past 4 years or so. I used to just buy lilies locally. But last year I decided to branch out and get all sorts of trumpet and OT Hybrids, LA Hybrids and orienpet lilies. This year I just kept right on going.

Those Lily Garden bulbs are not cheap but they are good quality and a very nice selection.

Last years lilies are all coming up like gangbusters, should be some noce blooms. This years hopefully will bloom also.

All the ones I planted in fall seem to be doing well. I haven't bought any of the trumpet ones yet.

I had trumpets years ago when I lived at my old house. They just smell heavenly.

I got a later start on the bulb planting as I was cleaning out all my ponds first. I put the filter and pump in the big stocktank pond and stated running that. The water was the dirtiest I have ever had it but I just scooped all the leaves and junk that fell in overwinter as best I could and started the pump and filter. I had bought a new filter the other day so I could do this. Tomorrow I will change the filter again as it should have sucked up much of the mess by then. I do so love that biggest pond I put in afew Falls ago. Another one of my projects but it's one of my favorites.

I planted the three large SILK ROAD bonus bulbs they sent me. I took a picture before I planted them and will post went I get a chance. I am going out now to plant the 12 bulbs of the Flugelhorn Trumpet Collection .

So those twelve Flugelhorn Trumpets are planted. I quit for today. Will plant more lilies tomorrow.

I have been a busy bee planting my lilies. The happy part is that I had plenty of room for them. In fact I could plant more, I still have room.

There are lots of extras. On the bags that had small bulbs, and I mean really small by Lily Garden standards, there were 5-7 bulbs each instead of the three that I ordered. So those should clump up fast. But I don't think those particular types make big bulbs anyway.

Now I have to go dig up three rose bushes so that I can plant the rest of the lily bulbs in the spot the three were. One is deffinately getting transplanted, probably two. The third gets tosssed.

This would be at the very back of my front yard rose garden that I call Floribundaville. I already have quite afew lilies planted along just alittle further in there. I want to increase the lily section as I love the way it looks with the roses in front and the lilies in back. The fact that its on an uphill slope makes it all come together and easy to see if your standing on the sidewalk.

I am done. I finished planting all those lilies. I dug up the roses but just plunked them in my sideyard small pond so the roots would stay wet and the roses wouldn't wilt. Then I went and finished planting the lilies. I really didn't want to leave the lily bulbs to go do something else so this is how I decided to do it.

Still need to go back out and water.

Yes, the lilies around here are deffinately getting to be more and more each year. But I do really love lilies. I got some especially nice ones this time around. But then I got especially nice ones last year also :-))

Now that I dug up the roses and planted the lilies instead, I hope it looks better than the way it was. Too late now I guess. There are going to be lilies back there now. Not that there weren't lilies before, there were. But this just makes for more lilies.

I replanted one of the roses in my sideyard rose garden. Then I gave the other two away to the guy that cuts my grass and does all the hardscape projects for me. I really didn't want to part with them but wanted more space for lilies at the back of the rose garden. Plus I didn't want to try and cram the other two into the side rose bed. I guess if I miss those roses too much I can kick out something else and buy new ones. But I think I will be happy with my lily bulbs come summer.

Oh my! I would be so excited to get that package in the mail! I love lilies! Have fun and be sure to post photos later in the summer so we can see them in all their glory.

Dang those are REALLY nice bulbs!! I've seen some nice ones from my neighbor as she has TONS of lilies and likes to move things around.

I can't wait until I can order my lilies to plant out front. :-)) Reading your posts just gets my "gardening bug" started again LOL!

I can't wait to see your bulbs in bloom this year though... as well as all the other plants you have on your property.
