On Tuesday evening, many of the school principals from our area were attending a barbecue at the home of the Director of Education. They were sitting on a deck 10 feet off the ground when it collapsed. Our principal said it happened in less than the blink of an eye, no warning. He has a dislocated shoulder and one other guy has a badly broken leg and was airlifted to Thunder Bay. They were the worst of the injuries, but there were sixteen of them altogether who were taken to hospital, most of them with cuts and bruises. They were all pretty shaken up. So to speak. :>

Not a very auspicious way to start the school year, eh?
