I think you can do white, but they will stand out a bit more than the black ones do now.

Perhaps a white countertop with the new white appliances will pull it together a bit more?

I am surprised you are not doing stainless? Do you really like the white or is it budget. I actually like black before I would do white. By the way, it is almost Nov and we got a terrific buy on a stainless refrigerator from Home Depot last year on the Internet on Black Friday - it was amazing. It is almost that time! Might be a good time to shop. By doing on the internet we did not have to brave crowds.

You have a nice kitchen to start with - Look for your countertops first to bring the current colors together. Check out a granite named "Santa Cecelia" that has your golden oak tones, charcoal, champagne and black in it. Its very consistent and works for small and larger scale spaces. get a sample and bring it home - then paint the walls a creamy butter color to pick up the warms in the granite and see how warm and different it all looks with black appliances. If you dont like so much contrast look for cabinet finished panels in wood that cover the fronts of the appliances.
If you ever paint your cabinets white, then consider the white appliances so they blend in. Do you like the way the white sink sits on the dark counter now? Consider an undermount charcoal color porcelain or a long-lasting stainless steel (if ever, plan and do it while youre changing countertops)

There are actually a lot of people suggesting the stainless appliance trend is over - and you should get what you like anyway! I agree about the white counter tops to tie it together, that will lighten the look as well. You should also consider a modern mosaic tile backsplash and sleeker cabinet hardware to keep the look updated.

Wow, I had to google the white ice appliances and those are hot! White hot! I do prefer black or stainless with a wood cabinet, and white or stainless with a white or cream kitchen. If you really want white, then go light with counter and backplash.
