Two plant I.D.'s...please

This one was a volunteer. Grows spiky with slender narrow leaves. Flowers are fairly large. In poor soil, low water. Anyone want seeds, let me know.

Can't help with the first one but the second might be Persicaria microcephala 'Red Dragon' there's another one called 'Silver Dragon' but the one in your photo looks red tinged so that's my guess.

The first one is a salsify I think. I had a yellow version I received when I requested goatsbeard seed :) The problem with common names since I was looking for aruncus. This one is prettier. Do a search for pink or purple salsify & I believe you will find this is it.

Yes, on seeds of the first one.

Smell the "insignificant" flowers on the red dragon. BTW this is a plant deer enjoy.

First one is Purple Salsify, Asteraceae (Sunflower Family). Natv, I'll send you seeds. Anyone else want some?

Second is Persicaria microcephala 'Red Dragon', common name : Red Dragon Fleeceflower.
