I don't have it, but you've just identified the small blue flowered plant that I've seen blooming in lawns. I believe I had this in my lawn in Pennsylvania and liked it in the lawn. Is it fairly shallowly rooted? Does it cross over into a mulched area? You might try digging a small "ditch" around your beds when you edge...do you think that would keep it out of your beds?

Yes, it's shallowly rooted, but firmly rooted. Hard to pull out. It crosses anything. In fact, I just found it on a three-foot high terrace. I don't know how it landed there.

BTW, I'm in Pennsylvania. I'm sure it's the same stuff.

I like it in our lawn with the white clover mixed in as well. I actually dug it up from a public grassy area to transplant into my grass.
