James, The leaves and fruit look a lot like Galbun. This is the description from Figs 4 Fun:
A large, light green to pale yellow fig with a translucent pulp tinged with pink. Good flavor. Seems moderately hardy. (001a) Fruit sometimes weighs over 1 pound Skin brownish-purple. (002) 284-11 UCR Davis, Commercially available as Galbun or Gulbun. 001c (001c)
SKIN COLOR: LT GREEN / LT YELLOW
FLESH COLOR: LT AMBER / PINK
This is a picture of my Galbun (the leaves look typical, but the pulp is a much deeper shade.

Fignut, how's the taste & productivity. Late ripener on the main crop? I am hoping to get a Galbun this year. Also, theres another one named Gulbun -- any idea whether they are the same? Thanks.

Paully, I can't give you much first hand information on Galbun (which might or might not be James' fig). The pictures I posted were from 1991 and I simply don't remember.
I do have some notes from Fred Born saying it was a large, Midseason, yellow fig with fine quality and taste. And the pulp was light pink in Florida.
There are pictures on figs4fun.com that show a deeper strawberry color - similar to the pulp in my pictures.
As for the Galbun/Gulbun question: Ray Givan in his New Fig Booklet says no - they are not the same.
"Galbun - An unidentified medium, greenish-yellow pyriform fig with flattened apex, no neck, 4.5 x 4.3 com with 1.5 cm stem ( medium-thick widening at the base of the fruit, same color), small eye. Thin white meat with amber pulp streaked with strawberry, numerous psenocarps, fairly sweet, slightly rich with crunchy texture. Quality fair to good. Leaf: base calcarate, linear, 5-7 lobes. Discovered and named by the late hardy citrus expert, Major Collins of Tifton, Georgia. SHOULD NOT BE CONFUSED WITH GULBUN (my caps). Synonym: Jewel"

"Gulbun - A large, light green to pale yellow fig with a translucent pulp tinged with pink. Sweet and rich. Leaf: base truncate to subcordate; 3-5 lobes, latate with shallow sinuses. Condit hybrid, originally identified as 284-11 and still listed with that identifier by UCR Davis. Selected and released by William Storey. Moderately hardy. SHOULD NOT BE CONFUSED WITH GALBUN. No synonyms."
So it seems that originally they were different figs. But if a few figs of one, or both, got traded or sold under the other name, and that mistake got passed on every year for who knows how long, by now you have Galbuns that are really Gulbuns, and vice versa. Then someone puts it into print that his Galbun is identical to his Gulbun and presto - a synonym is born. Once something is in black and white it takes on a life of it's own.
(I'm not even going to touch Calbun, LOL. And I don't see how a fig that is described as brownish-purple - Malcolm's Super Giant - can be a synonym for Galbun, a yellow fig.)

James, Don't consider it an identification - consider it a possibility.
Look at Jon's web site and keep your eyes open for any discussion of Galbun that might help to confirm (or disprove).
The best way to make sure is to grow any possible match next to your plant (or at least under similar conditions).
