My mom has them in her garden, and they spread to about 2 feet square. I like the color and the fact that they are shorter than other types. I unfortunately can't grow them in my garden because my soil has too much clay and other plants crowding around.

They do spread by runners but I have found them very easy to pull out and control in a nice compact plant - have had mine for 10 years now .....

Thanks for your feedback, Its always exciting to see a plant doing well after its first experience of a Wisconsin winter, but theses are moving so much faster than anything else this spring that It was making me suspicious. I'll relax and enjoy them.

I've had mine for three or four years and this is the first spring that I have dug some out to control the spread.

I have mine in large pots and they do great 2 yrs for me.Also winter over very well.
