I grew it years ago and I would say it is cuter than in the T&T photo... in real life the heads are fuzzy and white, not green like the T&T photo that shows on my screen. I cut some of the heads for dried "flowers" but if you are going to do that you want to pick them fairly young -- I left mine too long so the seed heads matured and began to lose their seeds after they'd been inside for awhile.

I used to grow it, too. I think they look better planted in groups of 5-7 plants with a fairly tight spacing, maybe 4-6 inches apart. Easy to germinate and grow.

Yes, i had it for a couple of summers too. Very cute! :)

I've grown them also and find they occationally reseeded for me. My grand daughters loved them, they are very soft to the touch.

I should have bought seeds this year for my grandkids. :-/ But maybe some will ba available around here - i haven't really checked out the selection yet.

Sounds like the child in me will like it.
