This is funny, I hadnt realized that there was a lurkers thread! I'm glad to know that there are other lurkers like me.

I am Ellen, I live in southeast Missouri zone 6. I started lurking in the Far North forum a couple months ago because I am a confessed stalker of Sharon aka "Crazy Gardener"! :) I first saw her photos posted on another forum of her container gardens,and since then I have "stalked" her looking for more photos, because she is a true inspiration for the style of gardening that I am drawn to. (Dont worry, she already knows all this!) Since then, I have found many many inspirational photos from other posters here, and I gotta tell you, a lot of these photos have been printed off and added to my "inspiration album" and I go through them often.

Though I have traveled all over the US, I have never been any farther north than Iowa, and I guess I had it in my head that you all lived in a frozen tundra up there! I never realized that you could garden the same as those of us in higher zones, but you sure do!

Even though I havent contributed any information or asked qustions here, I do come here every few days or so to see what you are all chatting about. You are all very throughough with your discussions and helpful to each other. I miss when all of gardenweb was this way but I am noticing a decline in the other forums and there isnt a whole lot going on these days.

I am an obsessed seed grower and will have well over 300 flats this year of just about every annual you can think of, all grown in my home with grow lights and no greenhouse.......if you can begin to imagine! I have 4 grow rooms in my home, two rooms of which are unoccupied bedrooms at the moment because they will be my 2-year twins' bedrooms in a few years when they are old enough to move upstairs. I am very very forunate to have this space right now. I plan to build a greenhouse (or have one built) by fall of 2007.

Aside from the photos,I also enjoy reading the discussions regarding certain perennials, becuase I am now doing perennials myself from seed and propagation. Though there is an abundance of info in the perennial forum, I like how you all are very detailed and throughough with your advice to each other. And, that is why I come here! :)
