Hope everyone that have requested have received my flyer - I goofed earlier and listed wrong phone numbers - I caught it with bruggirls flyer so my number is correct on her flyer. Sorry - my brain and old age coming upon me :-)!

I'll email everyone as date gets closer and give more detailed directions. Really looking forward to this and hopefully soon I'll start posting plants that I have propagated and divided that I will have for trade.

I would love to go to something like this just to see what other people have and meet other gardeners. This is a new hobby for me and I donÂt have any friends who garden. *snicker* most of my friends just think I am nuts! I donÂt really have many plants to propagate. I think most of my stuff is pretty common and easy to find. Is there something else I could bring? I can bring food.

Ok everyone - I'm starting to gear up now for this trade - I'm going to try to play hostess this time and let a friend of mine do the trading - I've got some stuff all propagated up and divided and will try to list in the next week or so. I've got a group coming from Jacksonville and maybe from the Tallahassee area, and of course a number of folks from the local area. Hopefully it will start cooling off soon so that I can stand to be in my yard for any length of time and do some weeding.

Good morning everyone - Yesterday I spent all day going thru stuff in my yard and here is some of the things that will be up for trade. Please bring lawnchairs & possibly a small folding table to set your plants on. I'll have a wagon or two available to help carry plants from car to your area. I figure that everyone can start arriving at 9:00am to set-up - trading will probably start between 9:30 & 10:00am.
Potluck lunch will begin around 11:30 or so. We will provide the hot dogs & do the grilling. As the date gets closer, please email me or list on this website and let me know what covered dish you will be bringing. I've got a few icechests and an extra refrigerator and will have some drinks on hand - but if you prefer bringing drinks instead of a covered dish, that would be great.

I've got alot more stuff that hopefully I will be listing later. Right now I don't have too much on my "want" list except for that new variety of canna I believe it is called "Cleopatra".

If coming from Jacksonville  Approx travel time 1-1/2 hours

Get on I-10 West till you come to the first Lake City Exit (Highway 90) Â Take 90 west thru Lake City until you reach Branford Highway (247) which will be on your left. Drive about 12 miles south until you cross the 247 & 240 intersection (a blinking yellow light with a Shell Gas station on your right). Go thru the intersection (about 300-400 ft) & take the first left onto a dirt road.

If coming from Tallahassee

Get on I-10 East till you come to 75 Â go south on 75 till you come to the first Lake City exit (Highway 90) Â turn right going east on Highway 90 about 2 miles till you get to the Branford Highway (247) intersection which you will turn right. Drive about 12 miles south until you cross the 247 & 240 intersection (a blinking yellow light with a Shell Gas station on your right). Go thru the intersection (about 300-400 ft) & take the first left onto a dirt road.

For those of you coming from the south Â

Take 75 north till you reach the Ellisville exit (Highway 441) exit there and go north approx 5 miles and youÂll come to a blinking light that is Highway 240. Turn left at the blinking light and go approximately 12 miles to Highway 247 (another blinking light) turn left  at the top of the hill (about 300-400 ft) turn left onto the dirt road.

(NOTE: when traveling across highway 240 you will come to a blinking light at highway 47 continue straight across to the second blinking light this will be highway 247)

ONCE YOU GET ON THE DIRT ROAD - That is Montego Avenue OR 25th Avenue. One side of the road is Columbia County (Montego Avenue sign) and the other is Suwannee County (25th Avenue sign). Our property (10 acres) is located on the left hand
side of the road  about 5 or 6 mailboxes from the initial turn. It is a white (beat-up) mailbox with the name Morelan and 457 wrote with a black marker. Sorry but local kids luv hitting new mailboxes with bats so we keep the old beat up one and they leave ours alone. IÂll try to have balloons on mailbox and maybe a sign. The driveway is about 500-600 foot long & you will come to a clearing where you will be able to park. IÂll try to have a couple of wagons available to help you unload. Please remember to bring small set-up tables and lawn chairs if you can as I have a limited number of these available.

I've had a few people that are coming from St. Augustine and the Gainesville area and are needing directions -
For those folks coming from St. Augustine - take Highway 16 thru Green Cove Springs to Starke. In Starke turn left on 301 then right on 100 through Lake Butler follow 100 to the Lake City Highway 90 intersection turn left and go thru Lake City until you reach Branford Highway (247) which will be on your left. Drive about 12 miles south until you cross the 247 & 240 intersection (a blinking yellow light with a Shell Gas station on your right). Go thru the intersection (about 300-400 ft) & take the first left onto a dirt road.

For those coming from Gainesville the back roads are to take 41/441 through Alachua past High Springs and Ellisville to State Road 240 - turn left and go about 300-400 ft & take the first left onto a dirt road.

My home phone number is 386-754-6953 and cell number is 386-288-3122. Some of you may not be able to get cell reception once you turn on the dirt road. I think Verizon and Alltell are the only services that you are able to get cell reception out here. We have Alltell. If you get lost just go to the blinking light (247 & 240) the S & S Shell Gas Station and call me.
