There's a lovely yellow bloom near my back flower bed. The snow and cold haven't done it any harm.

I think we should all give up killing and digging the dandelions and start a huge business selling dandelion wine!

Made dandelion wine last year, it was excellent, really excellent stuff :)

With all the warm weather we've had (not in the last few days, though), i still haven't seen a blooming dandelion yet. Weird.

Yes...on a south facing spot yellow flowers can emerge very early!
Have seen one too today, also at the shop.

We had a "spring " day like that last Tuesday..thank goodness it had all melted by Wednesday.

Rained and snowed like mad in Calgary last week too. But the neighbour's tulips are up almost 6 inches!

I was in Calgary over the Easter weekend. It was beautiful but I have since heard it didn't stay that way. :( I have daylilies under their blanket of leaves out front and I do think the peonies are under the leaves out back too. Glad I didn't uncover them yet. Snow still coming and it has been rather windy on our end of town. Hmmmm......This is the third spring like this.I wonder if it is going to be the new normal?
