Perhaps standing it against a wall and plant some flowers in, trailing or strawberries.
If you had a Hedgehog pet...they love these, if you set it sideways with slit down, they like to go in there to hide & sleep.

Lay it down so it looks like a hollow log and put it in the Princess garden and have her decorate it with fairies etc

Nice idea about the princess garden. I was going to expand it a bit this year and put in a tiny pond for her. This thing is actually pretty big, about 18 - 20 inches high. But it might work. I looked for fairy figurines last year and couldn't find any. Will have to look again.

Marcia, I have found fairy figurines at the dollar store on occasion. I do ceramics year round and have painted a collection of about 8 fairies, about 6-8 inches high. They are actually named after flowers (by the mold company). Still looking for the rest of the collection on line.

I was thinking the same thing as Jean. Something like the picture below. :)

I did look into some fairy figurines (while i was supposed to be working this afternoon!) and there are quite a few online. I'd like ones that can stay outside in the summer. I'll be looking some more and maybe get a couple for her.

I think that picture is titled "Spilt milk". I love it and will be on the lookout for a milk can! I wonder what kind of flowers those are? :)

Ginny, those look similar to Baby marguerite, annual paludoseum. I saw them on the iris forum, Renee had them planted around some red and blue irises, it was very nice so I've been looking for seeds. So far the only place I've found them is on E Bay but I don't want to order just one thing. Marg

I like the milk pail sculpture but I have a couple of problems with it. How do you mow the grass around the flowers? It can be done I suppose but it will become tedious after a while. And unless the flowers, milk pail and lid are anchored in concrete, they will disappear overnight.

As for the log, stick it in the ground a bit so it doesn't fall over and then see what populates it.

It's pretty solid - hasn't fallen over in the months it has been there. I'm thinking about lying it on its back and planting my semps in it. Hmmmmmm.
