It sounds lovely. I haven't tried it, but you'll have to let us know how it over-wintered next spring(and post pics when it blooms).

Well, everyone...I checked today in the holding garden and all the divisions I made of the sarasota campanula last summer have made it through our winter with extra babies also.

When I googled sarasota to find out its zone everyone listed it as a zone 5. I am a zone 2b. I had it in the middle of the iris holding garden and it was mulched with flax.

I love the large purple bell shaped flowers. And a bonus...the deer don't like it!!!

I think I would like to take a clump of cherry bells, takesinama and sarasota and plant them in each corner of a large triangle. Wouldn't that look striking when they are all in bloom...pink, white and purple. Wonder how the Elizabeth campanula would look in there too? Thanks to Laurie last summer I have her too. (and she also made it!!!)

Mine also came through the winter with flying colours Brenda. It's hard to believe that it's rated zone 5. Dedicating a corner to let all of these varieties grow together would be lovely.
