One fruit is enough. You should try it with a lemon, lime or anything else sour. not sure when it is ripe, as I believe we tried it at treefrogs one year.

As long as you have some red on it, you can use it. One is enough and the longer you chew it, the longer the effects last. I knew it would work on a lemon or lime, but my son and I tried it on vinegar, tabasco, horseradish, tomato juice, mustard,and fresh cranberry and they all tasted sweet. If you google Miracle Fruit Man, under Food Flavor Parties, there is a list of foods to try that you never would think reacted to Miracle Fruit.

Hey c'mon, I have been nursing that poor plant along since I got it during the Leu Gardens plant sale! With my luck that may be the first and last berry I get! :)
