Not sure what you meant by leaves growing horizontally, would like to see in picture!

No camera. What i mean is instead of the ends of the leaves going out or up, most of the mature ones are hanging down. Not wilty, just different. my other figs leaves are mostly angled upwards.

Some figs I have grown would have soft rapid growth with large leaves near the tip and small diameter limbs that are unable to support the weight. The drooping limb may still have a good crop. C. H.

Just the leaves are growing down. The limbs are growing upright. The leaves are also a bit twisty(not open facing the sun). On my other varieties the leaves are growing "normal" outward and up, open to the sun.

FMV can misshape leaves. good luck

Have you tried more water and proper fertilizer??
I have a few 2-3 yr.olds in containers that do that in the heat.

I'm not convinced this is anything abnormal. I have numerous figs and the leaves go in all different directions. Pictures would help....
