Long Island figs

Hello i am new to this site and new to growing figs out of containers, When i started i could not find one nursery who sold fig trees , now i know of about 4 on Long Island.I enjoy starting from a cutting the only promblem is i cant find anyplace here who sells cuttings , i have 16 trees in pots not bad for a beginner . my grandfather started in the Bronx he had a shoemaker store an had a fig tree inside the store, 1963 he cut a hole in the ceiling and the tree went up to the second floor wish i knew what kind of fig?.he made the news paper the New York Daily News. my question is after all that does anyone know were i can get clippings on Long Island.thank you.
