Rooting roses

Okay I have researched the 29 ways to start roses from cuts but would like some personal experience. The cut on the left is a morden centennial and right a Alexander Mackenzie. My local nursery suggested a 45 degree cut then dip in stim-root #2. Should I use honey, burrito, stim. I am overwhelmed and want a good chance at succeeding. Any help is appreciated.

I had bookmarked an ARS guide a long time ago but lost it. The middle part of this slideshow (cuttings) shows the same information. I had always been told to cut a shoot that was done blooming.

Anyway, the only time I tried taking cuttings was from Harison's Yellow which I found out won't root from cuttings. So obviously it didn't work. I also never figured out what to do with rooted cuttings in the winter in our climate.

What about a couple of each? I'm sure you'll be able to take a cutting or two after blooming...
