Hello, I dug up a young avocado tree from an elderly neighbor that she was given from a friend at church. I have heard that for avocado trees to produce good tasting fruit, that it needs to be grafted. The neighbor has no idea if it was grafted or not (and I'm not sure if she really understood the question). How could I tell if this was grown directly from seed, or if the tree was grafted? If it wasn't grafted, do I need to do it? How would one obtain the material to graft to it? Thanks.
