We have received a lot of rain this year in Arkansas. My fig leaves are doing about the same thing. I took one of the leaves to the Farmers Coop. The man there said it was leaf rust and sold me so stuff to spray on the leaves. It will not cure the leaf rust but keep it from spreading. In the long run from what I have read on this forum leaf rust will not hurt the fig tree.

I have had trees that had leaves like that. I slowly nipped on or two off every 3-4 days and it looks spectacular now. It doesnt look like it is on its death bed. I have to keep my trees in good looking shape so that my wife will let me keep them on our patio!

Same problem with a 4' tree I have in a 15 gallon pot. The drain holes were clogged with plastic so tree sat in watery soil for a several days. Bottom leaves dried and curled. I opened drain holes then put plant in sun to dry out and now all is well. FF
