We're slowly updating a 1983 one-story light field stone house; the existing front BR windows are 40"x70", have dark metal frames and Colonial mullions. New vinyl or wood frames will be larger - should I stay with a dark color or one that will blend with the stone? Also, I'm thinking of choosing a single divided upper window and a clear window on the bottom (casements are not an option due to egress codes) - will get new 2" dark wood interior blinds at the same time.
