Hey, Congrats Marcia! Ya gotta love those little surprises! Yes, I had a whole bunch of seedlings given to me this spring and they are blooming their heads off right now. I'm quite impressed with their long bloom time too, as from the looks of them, they'll be blooming for awhile yet. The hummers are especially loving them too ;^)

I'll have to move these now that i know they're there. I'm not sure if the hummingbirds have found them yet. They're behind the house and i don't see anything unless i'm actually there.

I do remember planting some things in that area last fall and i left anything that came up unless it was an obvious weed, but i'd totally forgotten about the lobelia. The yucca whose seeds Sharon sent me were there but they didn't come back (unless they're under the Sambucus somewhere! LOL).

Sharon, i didn't have a place for the yuccas by last fall, so i just threw them in that spot hoping that they'd survive and i could plant them somewhere else. They didn't survive so i didn't have to make a place for them. It didn't matter at first, but come to think of it, i have a cactus that Laurie sent me and it could have been put with yuccas. Oh well... :)
