Looks like a very nice selection -- congratulations!

When you say "PICEA alba 'Globosa'", do you mean Abies alba? (even so, I'm not familiar with that particular cultivar....)
The Picea rubens seems fairly unusual too.
Did you go shopping with a list of things to get, or just picked up whatever nice stuff was to be had ?
Would sure love to see some photos.
Lastly, that "10.5 hrs round trip" from NH sounds like you're giving us a puzzle to solve, to identify the nursery you went to.
Its quite a distance -- could potentially bring you as far away as Quebec.
But I suspect you probably went more south than north -- any other clues??
Thanks, and happy holidays to you too.

PICEA alba 'Globosa' and the PICEA rubens 'story's petite'
are new cultivars. I went to the place with two plants in mind and came home with 7 plants or so. As far as pictures...I will be posting soon. As far as the nursery location...I will say it is south of Trois Pistole Quebec and north of Washington D.C....ummmmmm I will say it abuts the keystone state. Happy Holidays and is there any snow in Montreal yet?

    Hi Kzman,

There's no such thing as "Picea alba", it must be an error on the part of the nursery. Maybe Picea glauca (White Spruce; since 'white' in Latin is 'alba')?

    Hi Pineresin

Your correct!!!!!!! but that is how he lists it in is cataloge as well as on his website and on the invoice.
I will say this he and his family have propably close 100 introductions to the trade and I won't debate him on that, maybe its a glitch on his behalf. I think of him and his family as the BEATLES of the nursery trade. I will shoot him an e-mail on Monday and ask why he lists it that way and get back to you.

If it is the nursery that I think it is (Dave's Nursery/of the Verkade family), then I would be very interested to see some photos also. I have never purchased from him but have been intrigued by some of the material that he lists.

Hi again Pineresin I shot him an e-mail and he said that in the trade that white spruce were refered to as ALBA but now they are refered to as GLAUCA. Some peole still do it he said including himself.

Hi redwingconifer --sorry I don't have any pics yet but soon. In a week or so and yes it is Dave Verkade. I'll be honest with you....I have met alot of the propagators/etc., and most are nice But Dave is by far the nicest one that I have ever met. If you shot him an e-mail he responds. Very polite on the phone and is not a plant snob. His plant material is very choice!!!! I had a great time there on Friday.

Name correction, Picea omorika Treblitsensis is now known as Treblitzsch.
    Bluespruce.

Happy Holidays and is there any snow in Montreal yet?

Funny you should ask about snow: While our west\-coast friends got some 30+cm (about a foot), accompanied by power outages, here in Montreal its +10C this evening, and expected to rise to +16C tomorrow afternoon.... No snow anywhere \-\- not even in the Adirondacks. Here is a link that might be useful: [Montreal weather](http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/cities/can/pages/CAQC0363.htm)
