Doh...anyone want to try and hit them up for an edit feature now.....LOL

LOL I'd like to see the rose - hasn't happened here yet. :(

Edit would be great - i've mentioned that Delphi forums have that feature, and it's really useful. Only thing is, only forum administrators can edit the title of a post for some reason. Maybe that's why they don't have it here. They'd have to set it up with people running the forum, etc.

Isn't that strange Marcia. Shouldn't the pic be changed everywhere?

Maybe if you hit refresh? It looks great Laurie! And appropriate for today... the snow didn't melt yet.

What a pretty picture . . . and I noticed it as soon as my window opened up this morning. It is sooooo "far north", isn't it? Just so long as everyone doesn't think we grow roses outside of our igloos up here! Nice pic, Laurie!!

Nope - i refreshed a couple of times. I'll have to see at home if it comes up.

Marcia, maybe your computer liked the crate of petunias better and that's why it's not changing?!lol

"Just so long as everyone doesn't think we grow roses outside of our igloos up here!"

We could just play into the stereotype that some southerners have of us..............;^)

    Very nice!!!!!

Of course we grow roses outside of our igloos.....where else would we grow them? :O

    Sierra :-))))

Almost an hour and several refreshes later - still no rose. I'm jinxed or something! LOL Maybe it's the new siding we put on the igloo - now it doesn't look like an igloo anymore. :>

Marcia, maybe polar bears in your neck 'o the woods ate the rose but left the petunias?

    Shauna

I was getting the twisted crate of petunias until I did a refresh.
I now have the snowy rose pic.

You mean that we donÂt grow roses outside our igloos here? LOL!

When I was young in Montreal the occasional American would show up in the summer with skis and ask where the skiing was. Summer in Montreal is hot and muggy. We just sent them north to the Laurentians. We would neglect to tell them that the skiing in the Laurentians was only in the winter.

Could be the polar bears. Or deer. They eat roses but i never noticed them touching the petunias. Are there Arctic deer? Yes, caribou. There you go. The caribou ate the roses. :)

I can see the rose at home - very pretty and very impressive! Much, much better than the petunias! :)

No rose for me on Safari. However, it's there when I use Explorer (but that's not my browser of choice.) So I guess I'm stuck with the box of petunias. Unfortunately, the petunia graphic looks somewhat distorted now. That's OK, though, since I hardly ever look at it, anyway.

Is there anyone else using Safari who's finding the same thing?

Doris, i have IE here at school and it's still the box of petunias, and distorted as you say. Weird.

I'm using Safari and I get the rose. It looks wonderful.

At work I get the old box unless I hit refresh, then as soon as I hit the back button I get petunias again. At home, the rose comes right up and looks great.

If you are having problems seeing the rose your cookies might need to be cleaned out.

    Syreeta

Hmmm. I've never cleaned my cookies, although I've (rarely) woofed them.

Wouldn't cleaning them make them soggy?

Seriously, though, I don't know how to clean them. Any tips?

Doris, go to Tools, Internet Options and you'll see Delete Cookies and Delete Files. You can delete your cookies and your temporary internet files from there. I did it at work yesterday but it didn't help. The rose shows up fine here. Another cyber mystery! :)

There is another setting in IE (don't know about Safari or other browers), right next to "Delete Cookies" and "Delete Files" there is a "Settings" button. You can go in there and select "check for updates every time I visit a page" which might help.

Better late... :) The rose finally has turned up at work!

Looks great! SOOO much nicer then that tilted box! :^)

Cyber mystery, indeed, Marcia. The rose has turned up on my computer without me doing anything. Thanks for the instructions for deleting cookies. Now, if only I could find where Safari has hidden their Tools...

For Safari you do the following to delete cookies. Go to Safari on the top bar and you want to click on preferences. You will then get a window that pops up. Along the top is icons, you want to click on Security which then takes you to a window that has a button that says show cookies. (While you are here you might want to make certain that under accept cookies it is checked for only sites you navigate to. ) All your cookies will then show up. You can then high light and remove whatever cookies you want.

If you are not seeing anything, you may have my "problem."

Since I am on dial-up and only have 128mb of ram, I have set my options to block unnecessary images like that so pages load faster.

Thanks, Syreeta. I didn't realize I had so many cookies in the cupboard. I did a little purging.

Look at what is on the front page of the Edmonton Journal today. I think this link will only last today.

Here is a link that might be useful: Edmonton Journal front page - Oct. 17

    I smell a lawsuit! LOL!

    (Laurie's is better)

Oh darn, I missed it! What was on the front page?

Sorry, Laurie. I couldn't clip and paste it. It was a picture of a red rose with icy snow on top of it, just about like yours. But the pristine condition of your pink rose made yours sooooo much nicer. Good job! : )

    Shauna

    Golly gee, thanks Shauna!*blush*

Too bad I missed it. It would have been interesting to compare, but that's me, always a day late or a dollar short.LOL

Sweet! Looks great. I've been off for awhile and what a nice surprise to come back to! That pic says it all! Toots :^)
