BUYER BEWARE we had model 440065 in white installed last october and it developed a crack within weeks. a second sink provided under warranty was installed in february and it has started to show the same crack pattern on the left wall with no use. there is clearly a problem with the current manufacturing process. warranty only provide a replacement sink so we have incurred two rounds of expenses for counter top and plumbing contractors in addition to the inconvenience.

these are great looking sinks. have had good experience with other Blanco products and friends with the same sink that was installed several years ago have had no issue but current batch is faulty.

I am wondering if cafe brown silgranite would go with Snowfall granite ...my cabinets are ivory with chocolate glaze and i will have burlap and cream lace valence , oil-rubbed

The larger splotches on the granite are a tawny brown......I think the metallic gray or lighter colors are nice....but the gray doesn't go with the faucet ....or doesn't that matter....my decorator friend said to get the biscuit (creamy) color but I'm nervous about light since we use a lot of turmeric and colorful spices.....I have the brown purchased and i thought the bronze would help tie the sink in????

You can get samples of the sink colors. That's the best way to decide which way to go, since you have a few colors in your countertop. I agree with your decorator friend that lighter is probably better with your oil rubbed bronze finishes. Regarding your hesitation to get a light color because of staining, i've had my white sink since last August and there has never been an issue. Make sure to get the sink grid, and use normal care.

I also made the mistake of getting a 33" sink base not realizing how limiting that was sinkwise.....I have a precis cascade .... not the super size but the 28" and there is no sink grate for this model but i found online a nice but expensive sink mat called mythos...and I a so have purchased a Kraus stainless steel that looks like great quality....now i may send both back and get the lighter color granite..never knew how agonizing of a decision a sink would be...!!!!..but want to be happy with the end result!! Thanks again!! Your kitchen looks lovely btw!!! ( NEVER planned to order so many sinks...the local stores had nothing tempting...so I wanted to see them in person)

Thank you!!!.....I looked at samples.....some match more specifically but the brown sink that I have seems taupish next to the granite.....which is good.....it helped to see the little samples i found from a kitchen place to help me be more confident...I didn't realize there were samples !!!....although there are matters of taste, i really think that it is hard to make a mistake ...these sinks seem to be chameleon ....they sure are lovely.....thank you for helping me to think this through....

I put in the low divide grey metallic sink after seeing it at a local plumbing store and so far I love it but less than a month now. I also bought the sink grates that go with it. Just picked up at Lowes a stainless suction cup sponge holder which I thought would look great with sink and I hate a sitting on grates and want easy access. Unfortunately I can't get the suction cups to stick to the Blanco sink. Did anyone who has one of these find a sponge holder that works?

I think the metallic grey would be my second choice...the sample looked beautiful...i have an oil rubbed bronze faucet so i was not sure if that would go with the meatllic grey....

I had read on some older threads that suction does not stick to the silgranite....I don't know what other options there are...I know I would love your sink...I had to get a smaller sink, limited by a 33" cabinet, but I sure would have loved that low divide...i have a friend who has one and she is so happy with that choice...

I actually only have a 33 in cabinet but contractor was able to bump out sink on bottom to fit the low divide as it is an angle cabinet. I read to put petroleum jelly on suction cups and so far is sticking. KItchen is small

Your granite is pretty ! I have a narrow kitchen .... I squeezed in a counter breakfast nook anyway in spite of the contractors saying it wouldn't fit..i like your angled nook...

change my mind...I did not like a floor sample the contractor showed me and it was only 79 cents per square foot so i assumed it was no good....but I ended up going with it and i love love love it.....laminate...made in germany...lakeshore southern pecan...

I asked to have a bigger sink but it wouldn't work with my layout....big mistake not getting 36" ...yet it would have been a tight squeeze

I really like your laminate too. Goes great with kitchen cabinets. I have a tile house in Florida but really prefer anything else!!!

We had tile 2 floors ago and it looked pretty but we kept breaking tiles. I really want stainless appliances ...my husband doesn't understand why white doesn't go....lol...so to compromise I said id wait awhile before changing them.....

What sink color should I put with my marble counters - gray veining LGHaulsey Vittera Rococo Quartz Best look to marble Ceilings. Cabinets simply white revere pewter walls. Floors. Wood different shades of brown light to dark. And cieling beams are dark stain . Having a hard time a sink choice color. No farm sink. Cabinets are done already . Please help . Opinions needed

they had a pretty sink called cinder....that might go nice.....i mean cinder in the blanco silgranite...i have cafe brown and my granite has creams black grays and some brown splotches....and the metallic gray looked pretty as well....they seem they would go well with what you describe but can you upload a photo... im not a designer..just finishing up my own kitchen....

Tammra2, what color sink did you choose? I was thinking the metallic gray would be nice with your veined marble; not quite as dark as the cinder color.

By the way, tammra2, how do you like the Viatera quartz? I had never heard of it till I saw your post, but I looked it up and your counter looks like exactly what I'm looking for. How did it compare price-wise with other quartz lines?

I looked at the metallic gray at several showrooms and I did not think that it had to much shine sparkle. This is just my opinion : depending on what you have in your kitchen whether you are using oil rubbed bronze in faucet. Knobs etc I would stick with the metallic gray sink. The cinder is nice with the Rococo also but I have all brushed nickle or Chrome fixtures etc and I had a high end designer tell me that you do not want then sink to look like a dark hole with lighter counters . I have to agree. I decided to choose from SS or cast iron Kohler Por. Sink-white. I just felt that the silgranite was to Matt of a finish for the marble / marble look counters . It just did not make a statement for me in how I want my kitchen / counters to come across . I mean I have really looked at this . If I cooked a lot of had kids and just tossed things into the sink I'm sure I would of went with the. Silgranite metallic gray. To me it is darn close to the SS but a little darker and not a lot of shine but it still would look good. I'm not sure how the Metallic gray sink would look with Brushed nickel faucet etc. with chrome it would look good for sure. I wish I could see the metallic gray with a brushed nickle faucet on a counter in person. I'm very visual person when it comes to purchasing things. That is why this decision is taking me longer . My biggest questions is does anyone have a chrome faucet / hardware and do they love it or not for a kitchen ? My next thread to look at or ask ! Kmkane I have purchased the metallic grey blonco sink. My countertops are rainforest brown leather and looks great with sink. I have ordered the kitchen aid black stainless appliances. Considering ordering the cinder drains and faucet for contrast. The cabinets are distressed charcoal. Thoughts and opinions on mixing. Granite top will have both silver and charcoal flecks with brown "twig" streaks.

@Cindy Bailey, for me, I would use the same drain color as the sink. Regarding the faucet, my opinion is that you can do whatever you like! I'm it so concerned about matchy-matchy, but others have alert attack if the sink doesn't match the cabinet hardware, which mine does not. Also, I didn't know faucets come in cinder??????????

I have the brown color single sink with the little side raised part....i love my sink.....i've had it now about 7 months......

NO, don't buy this sink! Just 5 months after installation, my Performa sink has developed a hairline crack on the side over the bowl divider. The warranty is useless as installation is not covered and it would cost thousands to remove and replace the countertop. Google Silgranit sink cracks and you will find that you aren't supposed to pour boiling water in the sink!

Trying to decide between white and metallic gray for sink. My cabinets are all white and my countertop is misterio quartz. I will have dishwasher to the right and stove off to the left and both are stainless steel. Will white be too much white or will gray stand out too much?? Thanks!

Having changed/replaced at least 20 sinks installed in granite and estone, I can say with some authority that countertop removal has never been necessary in any of those jobs. I would change your sink in about an hour and a quarter (plumbing included), an hour and a half if I had to tap the cabinet front off. If you lived within 45 minutes or so of me, I'd cost you $300.00 or so.

Silegranite sinks are basically Corian (acrylic) sinks with quartz filler instead of aluminum trihydrate filler. If you pour boiling water into either, you'd better hit the disposal hole.

Annabell420, the metallic grey is VERY sparkly! Make sure you see a sample. compare it to Silgranite's color called cinder.

We are now 8 years this May with our renovated kitchen and a Blanco silgranite black sink. We used absolute black granite counters. The sink looks as good as the day it was installed. I'd go with Blanco silgranite again in a heartbeat. Our water is not hard so we've never had a buildup problem.

They are wonderful, not only do they look amazing highly scratch and chip resistant. Extremely hygienic do not absorb odors or bacteria. I would highly recommend them.

This is obviously spoken by a countertop fabricator who has never changed a sink. Is it possible the Neolith would be damaged? Sure, but unlikely, especially if you sledgehammered the old sink out first.

Annabell420 - which colour did you choose? Can we see pictures? I am getting Silestone White Storm quartz, and was thinking of doing the Cinder colour, but now am considering the white. Like you, I worried it might be too much white... but so beautiful!

I have read so many review about Blanco sinks. I am wondering if the bad review are only for the first generation Silgranite. It the Siligranit II holding up better.

I bought a Blanco silgranite in 2015. It's chipped the very first day we put it in. Blanco sent me a new one but I hadn't gotten in yet. It ended up with an 8 inch long crack along the bottom a two years later.

HELP!! We can either do the Blanco Stainless Steel sink 30" Satin Quatrus Single Bowl undermount rectangular rounded corners #519548 rear drain OR a smaller Silgranit Precis 27" rectangular. I like the idea of the dimension added with the color sink. We will have a lot of white cabinets, doing dark bronze hardware, Persian Treasure Granite, medium brown engineered hardwood floors. BUT the Quatrus Stainless is larger!!!!!!!!! What to do??? I realize I can add dimension with backsplash, aargh!!!!!!!!! Demolition starts Monday Sept. 18!!!!!!

Helena: How large is your sink base cabinet, please?

If you go with the Precis, will it be one of the silgranit colors rather than stainless? I'm not crazy about bronze faucets/hardware with stainless sinks. Stainless appliances are fine but the proximity of the bronze faucet to the stainless sink kind of bugs me. I have bronze hardware also, so I gave this a lot of thought when choosing a sink.

I have a white Silgrant and I hate it over the years it has lost it shine and always look terrible. I have used the Blanco cleaner and used mineral oil but can never get it looking even close to what it was like new.
