I can't watch anything to do with war or fighting or destruction. It just boils my blood! The absolute most senseless waste of life! I am very blessed to still have Dad even though he traveled the world in WWII on a battleship! But many are not so blessed.........

This past one was senseless anyway, IMO. We didn't need to be there and all these lives didn't need to be squandered. The only good thing i can find about Tyler's death is that it has brought me closer to that side of the family, if only through Facebook.

Yes...lest we forget!
Switzerland was spared, soldiers, including my Dad were diploid defending the boarder.
I watched some of the footage on the D day, ...kind of senseless getting onto the beach in conditions like this...sea very rough with high waves, most of the tanks with the flimsy skirt on top got knocked over by waves and sank, drowning soldiers.
Then dealing with the fortified beach...bunkers etc.
