My cilantro does not grow in the summer at all in our zones (9 and 10). No way, I have tried sowing seeds all summer long, nothing at all. Now they are all sprouting of course. It grows very well in fall, winter and dies in the late spring here. It is a cool weather herb. You are lucky to get it to grow in the summer, maybe I should try finding a shady spot for it? I miss using it fresh in salsa when all the tomatoes and peppers are at their peak.

I transplanted some seedlings into my cold frame before it got cold, and i am still harvesting a bit each week!! We shall see what happens with the single to minus temps in the next few days! I never knew it was possible.

Mine only does well late fall thru mid spring. It goes to seed so fast for me. Maybe I'll try the shadier spots (as rec above) this year too. Just started my 2nd cilantro crop of the year 3 days ago. Have a new dwarf avo tree so need to be sure to have enough cilantro for the guacamole...
