Winter Projects

Yesterday I dug a hole 24" deep in my little greenhouse and set a 'tree' -- actually a 12' cedar limb -- for vines to climb and epiphytes to grow on this winter. I found this idea online.

There are already potted syngoniums, gingers, begonias, the heliconia I bought recently and the night blooming cacti to place. Need to take lots of cuttings to take to winter over, especially pentas, persian shield and white shrimp plant. The white shrimp plant never ever blooms in summer, just gets bigger and bigger. Cuttings always bloom in late winter.

Oh, and the bulbs to force -- they start out in the refrigerator.
