I live not far from you. I wait until the trees drop all leaves, usually around now, then wait a few weeks or until I see a really cold spell comming then bring them all inside for good (before the cold spell). Usually around Thanksgiving. As far as wrapping, I dont bother, I just try to protect the roots with a good layer of leaves.

Just like Ed said, around thanksgiving is a good time for our area. You want the trees to go fully dormant before you place them in storage. Just move it once and done, no need to keep moving back and forth. I personally can't do that with over 400 trees.

Down South in NC, I bring mine in my greenhouse and my garage around December. Our temps start dropping down in the 20 and teens in January. It warms up in March but then comes one last big cold spelling in mid March. I keep mine in till April. Dennis
