Is there a fuchsia that tolerates full sun?

19 years ago

I'm running out of space in the small amount of shady areas in my landscape. However, there are a lot of sunny spots that need more plants. I'd like to find a fuchsia that can tolerate full sun (if it exists). Unfortunately, I'm fighting the elements here... southern exposure with sun from 10 a.m. until it sets. It's hot, too.

If not fuchsia, is there a reasonable alternative that will give me the showy blooms I crave?
