i would say let it run its course, let it completly dry out. i have one in a hanging basket and i water once a week so far, i have it in well draining soil, so as it heats up i will prob have to water more often. as long as you dont water it again till it is dry i am guessing it will survive. keep us updated.

Well the soil is still damp,though it hasn't been watered. A few leaves have fallen off, which worries me, but its not dead yet. I hope it survives, its really special to me.

It is in a plastic pot with drainage holes, I was wonndering if maybe I should transplat it to a hanging pot? Will it survive the transplant?

Ok so I couldnt wait anymore, something told me to take it out of the pot. I did and discovered it doesnt have any white roots! Root rot obviously took it. But the difference is, though it lost several leaves, some are still alive. So now I am thinking I might save it by cutting the remaining branches and putting in water. Any suggestions or advice? I think its the last chance to save it.

Sorry for the late response! i had a citrus tree that had a similar experience! i bare rooted it, sprayed the roots with hydrogen peroxide(VERY WELL) then re-potted in fresh well draining soil, and well its been 2 months and its still has a few leaves and no branch die off, so i am holding the faith that it will come back! let me know how it is going! :)
