lilac question

I have a huge lavendar lilac bush that is now barely past its peak of blooming...flowers just starting to fade. It was here when I moved in last summer, so I'm not sure what kind it is. But I LOVE it! The fragrance is just awesome, and it scents my entire yard and house with the windows open.

I've read that you can extend this fragrance by planting different varieties, but since I'm not sure what kind I have to begin with, I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what new kinds to plant. The one I have now is a lavendar color, and I have already ordered a Pekin for very late blooms. But what other varieities (especially pinks) can extend or fill in the bloom periods?

Any help or advice you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

Lora
