I really like Garden Gate and also find Backyard Living to have some neat articles, it tends to have more "how to" advice and really gears for people who are doing it themselves rather than stories of someone's beautiful landscape they had installed. I often get Gerogia Gardening and Fine Gardening from the library and enjoy them both.

I always read my Garden Gate from cover to cover.

Cath, Most garden magazines have sites where they show a few recent articles and you can better judge which might appeal. Also some offer free copies to let you decide, then just return invoice with check or marked 'cancel'.

I'm not subscribing right now but have enjoyed Carolina Gardening in the past as it covers what grows well in our hot humid summers. Horticulture and Fine Gardening are favorites, too. josh

Maybe I'm showing my age but I like Mother Earth News. It's not only about gardening, but always has gardening articles I enjoy reading. It had a great article about growing garlic this fall that inspired me to try it. I have a nice little plot of garlic growing now in our new community garden.

My faves for years are Horticulture and Fine Gardening. The subscription prices are high 'though. Has anyone tried ordering the magazines from e-Bay? Some bargains there--but are there reliable magazine merchants?

Ilove The English Garden...because the shade of green I turn when I see the gardens pictured in the magazine goes well with my reddish hair!
