You might check with Growers Outlet, Loganville to see if they will have them this spring. They usually have them in one and three gallon size at a very reasonable price.

They are closed until February 20, but send them an email and tell them what you are looking for, they will usually respond within a short time.

I think that preparing a hole for a tree and mulching well should do the job. They are very hardy, our neighbor ran over a newly planted thuja planted near our property line once with his riding lawnmower and it came right back!
