I just wanted to re-interate that I can't do the trade at my place this spring. I'm having the house torn up, and hopefully the backyard too.

well, my situation is not quite as ideal s Glynis's yard, but I'd be happy to host, if someone else can bring the folding tables and chairs, as I don't have any of those :)

My place is just barely outside 285 on the Decatur side of town. I don't know if that's a central enough location not to be a pain for everybody, but y'all can discuss and decide. I won't be offended if you'd rather have it someplace else :) However, I DO have plenty of room.

I have been in the garden a few times since Christmas, but really only to see what is happening (still have visitors from England here). I am soooooo looking forward to the Spring trade, the fall trade was just wonderful. I am just outside of 285 between 75 and 400. If that would work I would love to offer my garden. If not, thats fine too. I would really travel anywhere for the trade! Thinking about it, . Marcy has a good location, probably better than mine. Anyway, where ever it is I am sure it will be another wonderful event.

Well I would love to figure out where we are having it and will drive anywhere. I would love to see either of your yards so it doesn't matter to me. As much as I hate to not see Glynis'd yard again it is always good to see a new garden. Barb I really want to see how those terraces look in person so even if it is not at yours I may invite myself over in a few months if that's okay. I for one amy itching for spring planting with all this nice weather we have had. I have a bit of stuff sprouting already. I would love to pick a date soon, I have already noticed the third weekend in April to be a busy day for plant related events so maybe we can shoot for a different weekend? I know the Forsyth County Master Gardener's plant sale is that weekend as well as the GNPS sale isn't it?

As I mentioned at the fall trade you are all welcome to come to my place, but that is definitely not centrally located.

Kathy - just let me know when you would like to come over to visit. I did go out this morning to cut the dead heads of my mums and nearly froze to death,- my new hand pruners worked like a dream though!

personally i'll have lots more plants later in april, so the 22nd or 29th would be my suggested dates.... there's 5 weekends this april, and those are the 4th and 5th. any thoughts?

22nd sounds good. First 2 weekends is Gwin school's Spring Break. Might not matter to most of you probably...

29th is fine too if 22nd doesn't work.

Unfortunately my daughter's spring travel ball season will be in full swing in April and most of my weekends will be filled. I will try to start some seeds for ya'll anyway and see what I have to trade. Maybe I can drop them off and return later for trades if we play that weekend.

If we are way out of town(like Florida) I will probably not be able to participate at all. This looks like it will be our busiest summer ever as far as ball goes with 17 tournaments and over 85 games already on the schedule. Our first tourney is in February and our last is August!

I don't mind driving anywhere in surrounding Atlanta area to trade if I remain in town. I plan to start quite a few plants this next month. Mostly seeds I collected from last summer. I also have lots(perhaps 1000) of Moon Flower seeds if anyone needs any.

Okay so I am caught doing bad math again and would you believe I was a math major for a while? Anyway, I believe it is April 22 that the aforementioned events are taking place so it is not the 3rd weekend but the fourth. Therefore, I would vote for the 5th weekend and I will go anywhere.

The 5th weekend I might be able to do...my hubby has his final, VERY FREAKIN' FINAL actuarial test "thing" in April (very, very last one ever HURRAY!!!), but it would be over by then. He could actually come to a trade (he's always studying during that time) and of course, tote me along.

I want to come. Marcy's house sounds great; I'm sure we can all follow directions regardless of where it is held. Let's decide this soon - date and location - in case something happens to gardenweb and we're all cut off from each other, so that we at least have a meeting date set. Please!!!

Hi everyone. Been a while since I visited Gardenweb. You can count my mom and I in again for the spring trade, wherever it is. Will have lots of garden babies to share with everyone this year. The Georgia forum isn't my primary group which means I can't post in the exchanges page. I'll either have to post my trades on your main board or e-mail my list to someone who is willing to post on my behalf.

I'll miss seeing Glynis' yard again as well but am excited see a new yard and garden. I may also be able to bring a 6 ft' folding table if it's needed, assuming we'll be driving the pickup. Just LMK if you think you'll want it.

well, ok. as long as nobody has any objections, then, my house, on april 29? i can email anyone who wants to come with directions, but it's very easy to get to from pretty much anywhere :)

if anyone has any folding tables or chairs, that would be really helpful... i have maybe half a dozen plastic chairs, but no tables.

and should we start different threads for arranging trades and lunch arrangements?

I have not visited the GW in quite some time. I have been so busy with the other parts of my world that my garden and my GW freinds have been neglected. The 29th is fine. Patsy & I will be there with a trunk full of baby plants. I'm not sure just what yet, I just planted 9 flats in the greenhouse so I'll have to wait and see what is up and strong by then.

Hey Marcy, thanks for offering your house. nvigorated, I don't really remember the rules for the plant swap, but someone will be happy to fill you in. Looks like this thread is now moving over to the exchange page, so you can get answers there if this thread becomes inactive. If my seeds survive early sprouting, I should have quite a few things to swap this year. See you guys in April.

I would love to join in the spring trade. This will be my frist one. I have four long banquet tables I can bring. And with a little luck lots of plants.

My datura is starting to sprout...outside. It is on the south side of the house, but you know how tempermental they are about cold weather. Can you even believe this mild winter?
