I am interested in the answer to your question. I started my geraniums from seed this year in mid January. They are now nearly 6 inches tall and seem to be doing well under grow lights which are on for 18 hours a day. I have noticed that the leaves are starting to get strong 'zonations' (e.g. that dark purple ring). It's sort of pretty, but I'm worried it's related to the light. Do they need more light?

I also started geraniums the first week of February! I started pink and white geraniums. They have the second set of leaves now...the zonations are evident on the pink plants but not on the white. I don't think the zonations are related to the light but are just a natural part of the plant's coloring. I also have my lights on for 18 hours a day. I started geraniums a couple of years ago from seed and had great success with having the lights on for 14 to 18 hours a day.
