Oh my goawsh. I have seen them all winter long and I see them running along side the road now at dusk. Please come and take them away from here. They have destroyed my lawn and garden those awful critters I hate them.

Okay guys - take a deep breath. It's time to read The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Watership Down. I can say this becuase the bunnies haven't eaten my parsley yet. If they get all my parsley againt his year, I'm turning into Farmer MacGregor.

We haven't seen one yet in Atlanta, but we had enough last year to decimate the garden. We've been planning our anti-rabbit strategy for weeks. Actually, the neighbor's stacked stone wall that the rabbits live in collapsed, so we're hoping that our rabbit problem was solved. Between the bunnies and the squirrels, I'm afraid that we're going to have to build a cage around our little garden. Last year, we didn't get a single tomato.

They're hee-ere. I am outside of Atlanta and one is eating my hollyhocks. He must think I've planted a salad for him.

I suppose that my garden fare is not to their liking. During the 40+ years I've lived at this address, have only seen 4, a wild Doe and 2 Kits, about 15 years ago. They only hung around for a couple of days and disappeared. A one-time neighbor owned an Aussie White Buck that would escape his cage occasionally and come down for a Hosta salad, until I invited the owners to join me for a tasty rabbit stew. Never saw him again. We used to have a pair of red foxes in a den down by the creek and now coyotes are spotted occasionally, maybe they have kept the rabbit population under control?
I would rather have them around than these darn squirrels, at least they don't dig in EVERY blasted pot on the premises or dig up every new planting or somehow manage to get into my attic. It's a constant battle, for each one I trap and relocate miles away, it seems that 2 or 3 replace it.

This yard is like heaven to them. I've got the only green grass for miles since I have cools season grasses and every square foot of the back yard is covered with rabbit droppings. It is deeeee-scusting!

We have them all year round. I think they are cute and the dogs seem to keep them in check. What is it about hollyhock? I bought a zebrina one year, planted it among many perennials annuals and shrubs, and the next morning, it had disappeared.
A rabbit dinner I'm assumming.

Just had the first one of the year scare the bageezers out of us on a walk this evening. He was big and didn't move til' we were on top of him. Out here in the country they breed like, well, rabbits so there will be plenty more where he came from. They haven't bothered my garden noticeably yet so I don't mind them. But our outdoor mouse-control cat decided she wants to branch out into rabbit control too much to my surprise last year. Looks like she'll be keeping the population in check from now on.

We used to have one in our yard, but I think he was hit by a car. I found him on the lawn, paralyzed. We brought him to the vet and the euthanized him, poor thing.

Haven't seen one since.

We have an old cat that lives mostly outside, and my husband told me he saw this cat carrying a baby rabbit once. I am greatful to this cat for helping to control the population of these hungry creatures. Bunnies are cute, but my feelings change once I see the herbs and flowers I plant totally gone.
So far everything is intact, so I am hoping they moved to greener pastures (and my condolences go to those gardeners).

So how do we like our conservation easements now?

I will swap 50 armadillos for 50 rabbits.

To tell you the truth it might be nice if we could get some foxes in here to get these rabbits under control.
