Thank you for mentioning the oft-overlooked Rue Anemone. A quiet and sparse wildflower in partial shade, it really shines when it gets 5-6 hours of morning sun:

This picture shows a modest amount of petals - I have another bunch this spring that have turned into a double form - need to take a picture of that today.

esh -- Those are beautiful! I'm not familiar with them, and don't know that I've seen them around this area. I like anything that has a daisy-happy look to it. :)

rb -- Just got the soil and compost in my new, raised veggie beds this weekend, and was thinking about putting in my tomatoes this week...maybe I will wait though. Our temps (I don't think) are expected to drop down as low as yours; however, it's supposed to be a rainy, icky week. Might be good to let the soil settle in my beds (I have extra for just that eventuality) with the rain, huh? I'm excited about them, as these will be my first in raised beds.

All: Advil, sure; but Saturday morning, as if on cue, my itchy eyes got cranked up, so I'm headed to pick up my allergy meds. Always happens the minute the cherry blossoms get going and they are on track to be full-on by this weekend!
