Yes, I have some of it. And I have a neighbor who has been growing it for years, although I suppose hers is probably not a named variety but is probably an heirloom of some type.

Neither of ours is in what I would call fun direct sun.

Mine is in very dry soil, under a thick hedge of lady banks roses in a sunny place, but because it's under a hedge the leaves of the plant don't get much direct sun, and have to stretch out to get their sunlight. But some plants seem to like that environment - my baptisia is doing better in that rose hedge than I would ever have expected, for example. The flowers of both the triteleia and the baptisia look nice peeking out from the hedge.

My neighbor's triteleia are in a much shadier backyard flowerbed, although they've been there for so many years I wonder whether the bed originally was in full sun before the trees grew large around it. Her stand is thick and lush, and in fact seeing her plants in full bloom is what made me seek this flower out online. She didn't know its name or where it had come from. I doubt she was watering hers either, if that information helps. When I saw them the flowerbed was not very well maintained.

If you're getting lots of foliage and no flowers, maybe you're using too much nitrogen fertilizer? Just a guess.

Westender, Thanks very much for the information. Maybe they are getting too much water since the garden spot they are in has drip hoses installed. There are lots of other plants in it that need regular watering. I have another garden spot with dry soil where I put drought tolerant plants. It is in partial shade. I will move them there when the foliage dies completely back and hope they bloom next year.
