Should I weep for my potatoes? Or wait some more?

I was so excited to plant potatoes for the first time this year. I presprouted, I cut, I dried, I planted in a lovely well-composted bed. Well, it's been about 2.5 weeks now, and I have yet to see narry a sprout from those potatoes. Should I give up, have my cry, and plant turnips and lettuce in that lovely dirt? Or should I wait a little longer?

I would wait! I just saw eensy, teensy eye sprouts on mine today!!!!!!

Do this to find out! Just scratch/remove the soil on top of seeds until you get to them. You should see some sprouts.
Now that cold is behind us, I would lighten up the cover soil, leaving just about an inch or so. once they come up, keep mounding.

Good- now I have hope. As the temps creep toward 80 I was starting to think I should just cut my losses. Now I'll wait.

I planted mine the same time, as you, one has lots of foliage, the others a bit. I did not cover them very deeply at all and put them in a trench so the sun warms them more quickly than with lots of soil on top of them.
