Will the crape myrtles recover & still bloom?

My crapes and butterfly bushes took the biggest hit but I'm not worried about the BBs. They should still bud and flower this year once some new growth kicks in.

But what about the crape myrtles? I mistakenly thought they could handle cold better than some of my other shrubs & didn't cover them. Will they still come back and flower this year?

I feel quite sure that your crapes will do just fine! They will just put on more new growth and then new buds.

(Pul-lease, Mother Nature, don't make a liar out of me. OK?)

They haven't budded out yet (at least my hadn't) and they bloom on new wood, so they SHOULD be ok.

I'm more concerned about my hydrangeas.
