Cherry Trees

Hey everyone!

I am on my second home with a cherry tree. Here in Georgia, cherry trees seem to attract more hungry critters than Golden Coral. Including ants that trek up the tree and attack it. Does anyone have some good suggestions for protecting these trees adequately, the last home I lost the battle, this one, I plan on winning. Organic suggestions welcome and preferred but I am open to anything.

Johnsons nursery in Elijay has a website, and they list the products they like to take care of trees - both organic and conventional. It is very helpful!!
