bottlebrush buckeye seeds

At last fall's trade I received 3 pots of bottlebrush buckeye seeds sewn in nursery pots. 1 was from Glynis and I can't recall who the other two were from, but no signs of life on any of them. Is it possible they just haven't sprouted yet, or maybe was it too warm this winter? I know they need cold. So what should I do with them?

Hi Kathy:
Did you put clear plastic "tents" on them? Did you keep them moist?
I read the trick is keeping them moist and humid. So if you didn't tent them, go ahead and do it. Then put them in part-sun and they should sprout for you. My sprouts came up two weeks ago!!

I got one of these at the trade from a gentleman I had never met before, but he was very thorough and put the seed in a big bucket with chicken wire on top. If this is what you have, I hope it sprouts for you -- it did for me. It's lovely! I haven't planted it yet but will soon so it could establish. (Getting kind of hot now but wasn't sure it was going to sprout and didn't want to disturb it.)
