Yes, I grow several types. Some are short lived, some are longer.
I don't have all the names right now. Two are similar, one has purple flowers and the other white. In umbles instead of "pom poms" the purple is well behaved, but the white spreads like the dickens. I don't really mind. But someone else might.

The globe alliums I have had persist for about 3 years and then need replacing. The mollys and others that do well in the PNW do not do well for me here.

I buy alliums all over the place. There are many bulb companies and nurseries that sell them.

I started some from seed last year. They were so small when I set them out that it looked like I planted eyelashes. They came back this spring and are growing well. I expect blooms next year, although I'm hoping for blooms this year. So if you have a little space you can set aside waiting for them to grow up, starting alliums from seeds is really easy. I don't remember where I got the seeds - some online source - but I see allium seeds offered by several online seed companies.

Now that you mention it, where the heck are my Alliums? I seem to remember I had three very nice ones and there is no sign of them. Shouldn't they be showing their faces by now?

Depends on what kind they are, Vroomp! Some bloom now, some bloom mid-season, some in later summer here.
