Is It Too Late To Move A Tree

Hi all. I have a really nice Magnolia 'Jane' that I planted on the north side of our house two years ago. It is now about 7 feet tall. Well, it would be if it wasn't reaching out to get more sun. Evidently it wasn't getting enough light where it is and is trying it's best to lay down to get more.

Since we seem to be having a relatively cool spring do you all think I could get away with moving it now if I water it liberally? Also, will a site with a good bit of afternoon sun be too hot for it in midsummer?

My common sense tells me I should leave it alone given how close we are to really hot weather. However I'm afraid that the wood will "harden" in the position it's in now and it won't straighten back up if I let it lean like this too long.
